If you’re exploring the full range of majors that might match your interests and strengths, we encourage you to check in remotely with the Tykeson College and Career Advising team (see “How to get remote advising from a Tykeson Academic and Career Advisor” below). Tykeson Academic and Career Advisors will help you clarify your interests, meet academic requirements, discuss career possibilities with Career Readiness Coaches, and put you in touch with the many resources available to help you succeed. The Tykeson College and Career Advising team can also help majors/minors in REEES plan courses, integrate activities to help with career preparation, answer questions about core education and university policies and procedures, and connect you with other resources for student success.

HOW TO GET REMOTE ADVISING FROM A TYKESON ACADEMIC AND CAREER ADVISOR

Advisors in Tykeson

The Advising Teams in Tykeson work closely with all university Advising Teams to ensure students have a clear understanding of departmental requirements. Continue to reach out to the Advising Team in Tykeson first for your advising needs - they will be providing remote advising appointments via Microsoft Teams (available for download here: http://teams.microsoft.com/).

NOTE: The Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies Major is in the “Global Connections” Flightpath, so if you are making an appointment with an Advisor in Tykeson for your Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies Major, make an appointment with a member of the Global Connections Advising Team.

How do I schedule a remote appointment with an Advisor in Tykeson?

Advising for Graduating Seniors

OTHER ADVISING NOTES

For Spring 2020 Term:

The UO Provost’s office announced changes in academic policies for winter and spring term 2020.

Among these changes is that for Spring term 2020 students can change their grading option for a course any time until July 16th, and changing to P/NP will not count against the limit of 12 credits of P/NP and 168 required graded credits. For this term a special P* grade will be assigned.

In response, the Russian, Eastern European & Eurasian program will allow REEES majors and minors to take classes for the REEES major and minor as P/NP during Spring 2020. A P* grade in classes taken Spring 2020 will count for the REEES major or minor.

For Summer 2020 Term:

The REEES program will allow REEES majors and minors to take classes for the REEES major and minor as P/NP during Summer 2020.

A P* grade in classes taken Summer 2020 will count for the REEES major and minor.

For Fall 2020 Term:

The REEES program will allow REEES majors and minors to take classes for the REEES major and minor as P/NP during Fall 2020.

A P* grade in classes taken Fall 2020 will count for the REEES major and minor.
