Ksenia Gordeeva

Ksenia is teaching 2nd year Russian language for REEES. She earned her B.A. degree from Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University in Russia, followed by an M.A. at West Virginia University in Linguistics. Her interests lie within contemporary Russian literature and culture, and examination of how Russian media culture embodies the values of society and the epoch it belongs to.

 

Murad Jalilov

Murad is teaching 1st year Russian language for REEES.
He graduated from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, with a double major in Political Science and English; minoring in Geography and Creative Writing.

 

 
Peter Orte
REEES 1st Year Graduate Student and Graduate Employee (GE)

Peter is teaching 1st year Russian language for REEES.
He completed his B.A. at the University of Madison, followed by an M.A. in Comparative Literature. In 2014, he earned a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature.
Peter speaks both Russian and French.

 

Svetlana Osadchuk
REEES 2nd Year Graduate Student and Graduate Employee (GE)

Svetlana is teaching 2nd year Russian language for REEES. Svetlana earned her degree as a Philologist and Teacher at Tver State University in Russia. She worked in radio (BBC), television (BBC) and for newspapers (including Moscow Times) before embarking on her M.A. program, here at the University of Oregon. She has also written a book, “One Life’s Narrative,” a story of a young woman struggling to find her identity and her own way in Soviet society.
