Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies invites the University of Oregon community to two introductory workshops on Ukrainian Language and Culture

Presenter Iryna Zagoruyko, a native Ukrainian, is a University of Oregon alumna and a certified language teacher with a Master’s in Language Teaching.

Event #1: Introduction to Ukrainian Culture

Date: Thursday, April 21, 3:30-5:30pm

Location: Knight Library, DREAM Lab 122

Curious about the country of Ukraine? This overview includes geography, cuisine, music and dance traditions, literature, belief systems, holidays, and some language basics.

Event #2: Introduction to Ukrainian Language

Date: Thursday, April 28, 3:30-5:30pm

Location: Knight Library, DREAM Lab 122

Do you speak Ukrainian? This worship will introduce participants to the Ukrainian alphabet, pronunciation, and expressions for everyday interactions, as well as a brief description of Ukrainian culture.
